to me it looks like an old toaster the one I have is square
it’s a antique electric toaster, it probely was used on the 4th floor apartment, when the apartment wasn’t being used, some of the furniture and aplinaces might have been stored in the gold room.

(KM) Knapp-Monarch Chrome Flopper Art Deco Electric Toaster. 1920’s-1949. A couple on EBAY for sale. Would need to see it to make sure of the Brand.
