How is the museum funded?
We are funded primarily through the donations of individuals and corporations in our community and through applying for competitive grants. We also fund the museum through selling museum memberships, charging admission to the museum exhibits and through a small gift shop operation.
How do I find information about my relative who lived at the hospital?
The museum does not have patient records in its collections. These records are maintained by the hospital (if they are current) or by the Oregon State Archives. State law restricts public access to these records for 80 years.
There is one exception, and this is the list of names of individuals who died and were cremated at the Oregon State Hospital. This list was made public by special act of the legislature. It can be accessed by clicking here
